ACCESS Inc. has been helping Jackson County residents break the cycle of poverty since 1976. With a focus on education, ACCESS helps low-income families and seniors through economic crisis by guiding them through changes in the habits that help them become self-sustaining. ACCESS currently serves 1 in 4 Jackson County residents through 25 programs designed to address issues from one-time emergencies to longer-term issues. ACCESS operates under the direction of a local Board of Directors who research and design each program to meet specific needs of those in need in our community.
ACCESS has one of the highest efficiency rates when compared to other non-profits providing the same level of service. Being a locally directed agency helps keep our overhead low. We are also able to accomplish our efficiency in large part to the supportive efforts of our annual average of 450 community volunteers.
For four decades ACCESS has successfully guided local residents towards self-sufficiency, this is proof that an investment of time, goods or money through ACCESS, is an investment in your community.
