The Rogue Theatre opened its doors in 1938. For many years the theatre attracted crowds to downtown Grants Pass, but the advent of television, multiplex cinemas and shopping malls made it difficult for the theatre to compete. Saved from the wrecking ball in the late 1990's, the art deco styled Rogue Theatre has recently undergone a renaissance, becoming a showcase for national, regional and local performing arts.
By providing an attractive, welcoming facility, the Rogue Theatre is bringing life and economic vitality to downtown Grants Pass. We believe the theatre is helping to revitalize the central shopping district by creating an environment that will attract business investment and tourism to our city center.
