Hannon Library presents Mary Maher on Tuesday, November 17 at 4 pm in the Meese Meeting Room. Dr. Maher's new book, "Actors Talk About Shakespeare," features interviews with Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh, Derek Jacobi, Stacy Keach, and others. The actor's process within a Shakespeare play is explored, and the book has been noted by "Playbill" as a treasury of talents, tactics, and tales. Dr. Maher, Professor Emerita of the University of Arizona, has taught award-winning Shakespeare courses in the U.S. and abroad, and lectures at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and SOU. Her previous book on modern Hamlets was an Academic Book of the Month and praised on NPR's "All Things Considered." Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the reading. This event on the SOU Ashland Campus is free and open to the public. For further information, call (541) 552-6835.
