Students will be introduced to a variety of mindfulness practices such as sitting and walking meditation, relaxation exercises, guided visualizations, and mindful living. Mindfulness practice has been shown to improve self-esteem, energy, and enthusiasm for life; ability to relax and manage stress and anxiety; school and work performance; and concentration and creativity. You don't need to believe that mindfulness would have these effects on you but try it for yourself! Bring an attitude of investigation and curiosity. The group will be facilitated by Asha Goldstein, LCSW. Asha is a Mental Health Counselor in the Student Health and Wellness Center.
